By the end of this unit, pupils should know:

There are different groups of Christians in the local area;

Christianity is a worldwide faith

All Christians believe in God and that they find out about God in the Bible

All Christians worship God and try to live in ways that please him

There are similarities and also some differences between Christians

All Christians share certain key beliefs, (although different communities of Christians may understand them differently)

Is Easter the most important festival for Christians?

Religion is very important and valuable for many people

Easter is very important in the ‘big story’ of the Bible and why

Christians believe Jesus ‘builds a bridge’ between God and humans - Salvation

Jesus showed that he was willing to forgive everyone, even for putting him on the cross

Christians believe the Easter story teachers them about forgiveness

Some questions about life are difficult to answer
